Start Menu Starts To Get On My Nerves

After installing a new Vista version, my Start Menu doesn't 'explore' the Documents folder anymore but just lets me browse through it until I hit a file, instead of just opening my Documents folder in a Windows Explorer window. What's going on?

To be honest, I'm not sure what's going on. Perhaps your previous installation came from an image (not a picture, but a 'computer image' that holds a complete installation of a PC and is usually provided on hard disc or on a DVD) that had its options set differently from what you'd like.

As Lance Corporal Jack Jones used to say in 'Dad's Army': don't panic!

Right-click your 'Start' button (in the bottom left corner of the desktop), click 'Properties' from the Context Menu (that is the menu that pops up after right-clicking an object) and click the 'Customize' button. You will then be able to select how various parts of the Start Menu should be presented.

Click the 'Ok' button when you're umm... okay with your choices :)
